Easy decoupage frames

Vintage floral frames These frames were so easy to make and I really love their new vintage style. So basically I had 2 frames lying around unsure what to do with. I'm not sure where the inspiration came from....maybe Pinterest?! I have a variety of scrapbook paper patterns so thought I would give this a try! You will need: A photo frame Craft or scrapbook paper Mod podge or other sealer Chalk paint (optional) Small brush Craft knife or scissors Sandpaper Chalk paint Chalk paint has to come into this somewhere! I used my tester pot of Rustoleum's paint the back and sides. You don't have to do this it was my preference to do so. Here's my 2 frames....before pic! My scrapbook paper. A vintage floral design and colour I don't use that often! I painted the back of the frames, applying 2 coats for best coverage. Brush mod podge or I used sealer onto the frames. Upcycling a jewelry box

Upcycling your jewelry box I see lots of wooden jewelry boxes being given to charity shops. People have fallen out of love with them. These are well made pieces and vintage too. Step 2 - Sand it over - Optional This part is optional as in some cases the box will not need to be sanded down. You may have a box that's particularly full of uneven sides or bits of blobs. By giving it a quick sanding it will give you a smooth surface to paint on. Remember chalk paint covers most things, so depen
Easy Christmas Ornament! Its the time of year again we get all festive! If you enjoy making crafts, you may want to make your own christmas decorations this year! An easy candle holder ornament can be created from old wine bottles. So don't throw any out!....Wash them out thoroughly and remove labels.  I used chalk paint all over using Annie Sloan. Then using acrylic paints/pens you can create a christmas themed design....santa's outfit is quite popular!....once finished I simply lightly waxed all over to protect it. Pop a candle in the top and that's it! Quite nice on cosy nights leading up to Christmas!
